Op zondag 19 september zijn ook wij van de partij op de WK familiedag in Leuven. De hele stad zal in het teken staan van het WK. Wordt echt epic. Kom zeker eens langs bij ons standje op de Vismarkt.
Kom eens een van onze jerseys of bibs passen, of doe mee aan een van onze Social Rides.

We organiseren die dag 3 social rides van 30, 65 en 100 km.
Voor elke rit hebben we 25 zadelplaatsjes vrij.
Zet de datum dus al maar in je agenda!

Hieronder kan je je inschrijven voor de rit.
Elke rit zal worden begeleid door één of meerdere van onze ambassadors.
Meedoen is gratis. De golden rule: iedereen is welkom.

Gelieve minstens 30 minuten op voorhand aanwezig te zijn, zodat de groep op het aangegeven startuur effectief vertrokken is. Wij geven op voorhand nog kort wat algemene guidelines rond fietsen in groep en hebben ook wat tijd nodig om jullie aanwezigheden te checken!

30 KM - FOR ALL
Op deze rit geven we extra veel tips en tricks voor de beginnende fietser. Schakelen, hellingen, voeding,...
Deze rit is ook mega all-inclusive: iedereen welkom, jong, oud, beginner, ervaren. We wachten op elkaar, helpen elkaar, moedigen elkaar aan. Deze rit wordt begeleid door ambassadors Inge en Lauranne.

65 KM - JOIN THE CLUB
Voor deze rit heb je best al wat ritjes achter de kiezen. Maar no worries: no man/woman/x is left behind! Op de vorige Baroudeur Social Ride reden we ook 65 km en werden we enorm gepakt door hoe iedereen elkaar heeft aangemoedigd, met een glimlach elkaar opwachtte en elkaar de nodige (letterlijke) duwtjes in de rug gaf. Dat groepsgevoel willen we nog eens meemaken. Deze rit wordt begeleid door onze ambassadors Inge en Lauranne. Doe je mee?

100 KM - YOU CAN DO IT
Deze epic ride start 's morgens om 9:00 en wordt begeleid door goede vriend Diederik Craps (@diederikcraps). Deze die-hard heeft voor dit jaar al 6000 km op zijn teller staan. Een Leuven-local die de streek als zijn broekzak kent neemt je mee voor een stevig ritje van 100 km. Hij wordt bijgestaan door Peter Deprins (@petertheprins), fiestfanaat in hart en nieren. Hij werkt bij vzw VELO en heeft dit jaar al 10.000km gefietst! Afhankelijk van zijn wacht op het werk komt ambassador Joris ook mee. Ook op deze rit is iedereen welkom, al ligt de snelheid hier wellicht iets hoger. We voorzien ook een stopje in Brouwerij De Kroon. Zorg ervoor dat je uitgerust bent en breng voldoende voedsel en drank mee. Zin in een uitdaging? Come join us!

Come as you ride
We cannot offer a locker or place where you can safeguard your stuff. Bring whatever you need to ride & nothing more.
Come as you are
This is a safe and all-inclusive ride. We welcome you in any physical shape, gender or color. The only requirement is you are able to safely ride your road bike (Yes, we do mean not falling sideways at a red light when still clipped in. No judgement, been there done that). If you have a Baroudeur cycling kit, it would be awesome if you wear it!
New to cycling?
Don’t worry about the speed, riding in group is a lot easier than alone! We and our ambassadors will be able to give you some tips & tricks. We would recommend you have done a few rides of minimum 30 km before participating in a round of 65 km.

COVID
At all stops we will follow the local safety guidelines. Please bring a clean mask to wear at the meeting points and stops. If you are feeling sick, please stay home.
GDPR & social media
By subscribing to this Social Ride, you accept the use of any photos or videos taken by the Baroudeur team or other riders. Photos and videos made during the Baroudeur Social Rides may be used for promotional purposes. We will not publish information about a person in a social media story or promotional campaign without asking for explicit permission to do so. We do everything with the utmost care to respect participants’ identity, self-esteem and privacy. If despite our best efforts, we fail to respect participant preferences, a request can be made to remove them.
We cannot be held responsible for the publication of photos and videos done by other participants on the ride. Should you prefer not to have your photo/video taken, we strongly advise you to inform the photographer/videographer of your preferences. All participants members are requested to respect the preferences and privacy rights of other members.
Personal data is stored securely within the Baroudeur database. Your data will not be shared with third parties.

Belgian weather
We hope September will bring us only sunshine. However, the Baroudeur team can decide to cancel the social ride up to one hour before departure, if the weather conditions are compromising the safety. We will not take this decision lightly and will not cancel for a bit of headwind or some drops of rain. Please feel free to visit us at our stand anyway.

Mechanical issues
Make sure you have checked your bicycle before the ride. Try to bring your own tools to fix a flat tire or small mechanical issues. Our ambassadors will help you out and guide you back to the group. We advise to purchase a Cycling Vlaanderen recreational license to have full year road assistance.

Medical issues
We hope we will not need it, but the Baroudeur team has a lot of expertise with medical emergencies as several of us are physicians working in UZ Leuven. In the 30 and 65 km ride, we will be able to provide first aid care. By participating you declare to be in a healthy physical condition. If you have a specific medical condition that might require urgent interventions, please alert the Baroudeur team and bring the required drugs (for example an Epipen in case of severe allergy) . Furthermore, we advise to purchase a Cycling Vlaanderen recreational license to have cycling insurance for both medical costs and personal liability.
Baroudeur cannot be held responsible for any issues occurring during the social ride.
